2016 was a whirlwind of one unpredictable outcome after another, and it left us feeling a bit shaky about what the future would hold. That is, until we realized that the future is what we make it. So we gifted our clients with a bewitching box of curiosities to help make 2017 their luckiest—and best—year yet: dice for good luck, bourbon for good spirits, a magic 8-ball for good fortune, and a golden-ratio-inspired calendar for only good days to come. Based on their enthusiastic responses, all signs are pointing to a bright future.
This Box of Good Fortune invites the recipients to engage with the each part of the gift, laugh a little, and maybe just reveal their future selves. Messages of new-year excitement and an optimistic future are scattered strategically throughout, with everything needed to envision a positive outcome awaiting inside. And if they don’t like what they see? We invite them to shake, roll, or pour until they do.
Throwing a contemporary twist on late 1800s graphic styles with clean flourish, we created magical identity combined of emblematic icons, simple lines, and jewel tones. Referencing objects of the world known for their mystique, antique tarot cards and psychic reader signage to Queen Elizabeth's Red Box, each object was designed specifically for it's use.
Each box was hand assembled with love by our wonderful team at Madwell. Great care and attention to detail was taken to ensure that our recipient's unboxing experience would be magically mind blowing. Every wax seal was strategically placed, every silk ribbon was cleanly trimmed, and every card's corner was perfectly rounded to bring the whole package together.
